Kandar is a small village of 925 hectares in Jalor Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kandar depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 231.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kandar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kandar's pin code is 343024[4], and village code is 02296900. The area of Kandar is segregated as 323 hectares irrigated area, 85.15 hectares unirrigated, the 260 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 257.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
