Kanaura is a small village of 600 hectares in Iglas Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanaura depends on Atrauli (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kanaura's pin code is 204101[4], and village code is 01365800. The area of Kanaura is segregated as 500 hectares irrigated area, remaining 100 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Atrauli (MB) and Aligarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
