Kanai Kalan is a small village of 1297 hectares in Bhinay Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanai Kalan depends on Kekri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 5.47% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kanai Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kanai Kalan's pin code is 305628[4], and village code is 02563000. The area of Kanai Kalan is segregated as 108.02 hectares irrigated area, 950.27 hectares unirrigated, the 111.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 59.8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kekri and Ajmer to sell mawa and make their living.
