Biography

Kamyar Fuladlu is an Iranian architect-urban designer, and researcher. He specializes in research on the effects of Urban heat islands (UHI), Land surface temperature (LST), Urban Climate, and Urban Sprawl. He received his M.S. of Urban Design and Ph.D. of Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University. He gave lectures as a part time senior instructor at School of Computing and Technology and Faculty of Architecture in Eastern Mediterranean University. For a while he was a lecturer at Faculty of Architecture in Near East University. For the first time in November 2018, by providing the GIS lectures he had a significant role in workshop for the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus [1]. His research was rewarded several times by different institutes and authorities such as TÜBİTAK. Fuladlu considered as an outstanding reviewers for scientific journals such as Environmental Research Letters, Urban Climate, Heliyon, Environment, Development and Sustainability, AIMS Environmental Science, Environmental Research Communications, International Journal of Architectural Computing, International Journal of Remote Sensing, Journal of Physics: Complexity, SAGE Open, Energy, Environment and Planning B: Urban Analytics and City Science, Environmental Research: Infrastructure and Sustainability, Frontiers in Energy Research, GeoJournal, Journal of Asian and African Studies, Journal of Environmental and Public Health, and many other journals [2]

Research

Fuladlu study on monitoring urban sprawl in case of Mediterranean city of the Famagusta. Later his study continues with evaluating of microclimate parameters for university campus outdoor space at Eastern Mediterranean University [3]. During COVID-19 pandemic he study on population density distribution and the consequence of it on major air pollutants in case of Germany [4]. Later, he performed an experimental study in case of Famagusta, Cyprus to realized the thermal response of the land use and land cover. His finding shows that in Famagusta agricultural intensification contributes to increased LST about 313.3° Kelvin [5].
