Kamer Kaan Avdan, mostly known as Avdan on YouTube, is a Turkish medical doctor and YouTuber best known for his concept videos, where he imagines the future of technology. As of September 2023, he has 196K subscribers and 31 million total views.[3]
History
Avdan joined YouTube on December 21, 2013.[3] He uploaded his first video on YouTube in 2017, it was the Android 9.0 Concept. But he later deleted that concept because they were looking worse than his newer concepts. After he deleted 3 videos, there is the Windows 11 Concept. It was published in January 2, 2018 and has 3,6 million views as of September 2023.[4] In May 2018, he made Windows XP 2018 Edition, giving a Fluent Design makeover and trasperency effects to it.[5] In June 2018, he made Windows 95 2018 Edition and Windows 7 2018 Edition, and Forbes described his video an 'awesome concept'.[6] On October 2018, he made Windows 10 90s Edition, Windows 10 but in the 90s. His most viewed video is the Second Windows 11 Concept, published on December 11, 2018 and with 5,5 million views as of September 2023.[7] In 2019, he started 'How I Create Concepts' a series where he shows how he creates his videos. He reached 100K subscribers and asked for his Creator Award. But YouTube refused because his content is not original[8], but he later responded and YouTube decided to give him the Creator Award anyway. He also made 'If Apple Created Windows 10' in December 2019. He created in April 2020 the Windows 20 Concept, said it was the most difficult concept for him because it took him 35 days.[9] In February 2022, he made AvdanOS, his vision for the future of operating systems and user experiences.[10]
Personal life
Avdan studied at the Eskişehir Osmangazi University, where he worked as a medical student.[11] Avdan graduated in June 2023 and he became a medical doctor.
