Kalawa is a small village of 3169 hectares in Pachpadra Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kalawa depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kalawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Kalawa's pin code is 344022[4], and village code is 02137600. The area of Kalawa is segregated as 1697 hectares unirrigated, the 390 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1082 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell wool and make their living.
