Kalan Ka Was is a small village of 208 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kalan Ka Was depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 10.20% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kalan Ka Was is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kalan Ka Was's pin code is 341503[4], and village code is 01860600.
