Kala Mal is a small village of 190 hectares in Indragarh Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kala Mal depends on DEOLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 47.02% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kala Mal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kala Mal's pin code is 323613[3], and village code is 02697100. The area of Kala Mal is segregated as 117.04 hectares irrigated area, 12.02 hectares unirrigated, the 38.01 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 23.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.
