Kakot is a small village of 560 hectares in Nawa Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kakot depends on Kuchaman City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 80.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kakot is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kakot's pin code is 341519[4], and village code is 01891800. The area of Kakot is segregated as 80 hectares irrigated area, 144 hectares unirrigated, the 186 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kuchaman City and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
