Gregory Pierre (born January 13, 1993), professionally known as Kadda Sheekoff, is a Haitian pop singer, rapper, songwriter, record executive, entrepreneur, and actor. He is recognized for his contributions to the Afropop music genre and his philanthropic endeavors.[1][2]

Early life and education

Sheekoff was born in Jacmel, Haiti, in a family of musicians. At 11, he relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where he developed a keen interest in music and songwriting. Initially disliking hip hop for its perceived vulgarity and misogyny, Sheekoff later embraced the genre, using it as a medium for storytelling. He recorded his early songs in his aunt's basement and employed both metaphorical and literal techniques in his lyrics.

Sheekoff studied Criminal Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Career

Sheekoff released his debut single, “All My Life” in June 2019, which achieved international success, reaching No.1 on the Afrocharts Hot 100 chart.

Sheekoff is the founder and CEO of Telegenique Records, a record label and music publishing company. He is also the founder and CEO of Kadda Sheekoff INFO.

Sheekoff is also an author, having written four books.

Philanthropy

Sheekoff is committed to humanitarian work. He founded the KaddAffection Foundation, which supports victims of physical and emotional trauma, with a particular focus on orphans and street children in Haiti. Through the foundation, he has implemented initiatives to improve the lives of vulnerable communities in Port-au-Prince.
