Kachnariya Kalan is a small village of 851 hectares in Chhipabarod Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kachnariya Kalan depends on Chhipabarod, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 2.44% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kachnariya Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chhipabarod and Baran to sell earthen pot and make their living.
