Kachhiya Thana is a small village of 1164 hectares in Shahbad Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kachhiya Thana depends on Shivpuri (M.P.), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 9.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Kachhiya Thana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kachhiya Thana's pin code is 325216[4], and village code is 03925500.
