Louie Tabing was a Filipino radio broadcaster and advocate for agricultural communication. He was known for pioneering community radio programs that provided science-based agricultural information to Filipino farmers.
Tabing earned a degree in Agriculture from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). He hosted the long-running radio program School-on-the-Air, which educated rural farmers on sustainable agriculture.
He worked for over 20 years with ABS-CBN DZMM and contributed to the development of community radio stations across the Philippines.
Tabing passed away in 2018. His legacy includes numerous awards and recognition for his contributions to community media and rural development.
