Thiru K.L.Ramaswami, popularly referred by his initials KLR, was an academician, politician, and social activist hails from a small village called Kolandaipalayam in Nambiyur Taluk in Erode District of Tamil Nadu, India. He was the first college graduate and the second member of the Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly (MLA) [1] [2] after his uncle S.K.Samy Gounder from his village.
