Junty Hugar is an Indian filmmaker, editor and writer known for his short films and feature length films. He was born on November 2nd, 1992, at St. Martha's Hospital in Bengaluru.

Hugar developed an interest in storytelling from a young age and began exploring filmmaking while pursuing his diploma. He wrote, directed, and edited his first short film, Modern Devdazz in 2012, followed by Save, which was selected for the Janasri News Channels Freestyle Short Film Contest the same year. In 2018, he released his third short film, Subway, which received critical acclaim for its creative screenwriting. The film is available in the US and UK on Amazon, and an article was written about it in Vijay Karnataka.[1]

In 2018, Hugar began writing his first feature length film, Gudugudiya Sedi Nodo, which began principal production on March 12th of that year. The teaser of the film got released in GT World Mall on 31st October 2020. Due to Covid and financial issues, the film was completed in 2022 and is set to release in 2023. In an interview with Times of India[2], Hugar explained that the film was shot in and around Bengaluru, Sringeri, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi, and Varanasi.

In 2021, Hugar started his own advertisement video production house, Flying Whales. The company has produced ad films and corporate films for prestigious companies such as Galleria De Lux, Wildcraft, and Denso Kirloskar, among others.

Hugar's work has earned him recognition in the film industry and has garnered attention from audiences around the world.
