Julian Looman (born March 5, 1985) is an Austrian-Dutch actor,[1] known for his roles as Max Winter in the BBC One|BBC drama The Mallorca Files, Johann Gudenus in Die Ibiza Affäre, and Gerhard in Emily in Paris.[2][3][4] He is also known for various roles in theatre in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and The Netherlands.[5][6]
Biography
Born to a Dutch father and an Austrian mother,[7] Looman is fluent in Dutch, German, and English. He also speaks French and Italian at a lower level of fluency.[8][9] He resides in Vienna with his partner, Dutch musical theatre actress and singing coach Annemeike Van Dam, and their two children.[10][11][12][13]
Looman's theatrical roles include parts in The Full Monty (musical), Soldier of Orange (musical), Sunset Boulevard (musical), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cabaret (musical), Anna Karenina (musical), and Spamalot.[14][15][16]
