Jovi Heng (Chinese: 王义翔; born 6 September 1986) is a Malaysian actor[1], film investor, producer[2], film distributor and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Ten Young Entertainment and has been active in the Malaysian entertainment industry since childhood. Heng is best known for his work in Miimaland, JUANG, and the 2024 Chinese New Year film ALL INgrossed RM 7.1 million at the box office[4] & 2025 Chinese New Year film MONEY GAMES grossed RM 7.5 million at the box office[5] & also co presented local malay action movie BLOOD BROTHERS & grossed over RM62 million at the Malaysian box office[6]
Early Life
Heng was born in Perak, Malaysia. His father, Professor HENG , is a renowned Chinese literature scholar and former adviser to several Malaysian ministers.[7] Heng began acting in commercials at the age of 9 and later appeared in numerous local TV dramas.
Career
In 2023, Heng founded Ten Young Entertainment (腾阳影业), a company involved in film production, distribution, concert organization, artist management, and short-form video content creation. The company's first production, ALL IN, released during Chinese New Year 2024, became the highest-grossing local festive film in Malaysia, earning approximately RM 7.1 million[4]
In the same year, Heng's company co-produced and distributed Blood Brothers, a crime action film set in Kuala Lumpur and directed by Richie Lee. He also acquired distribution rights for Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In (九龙城寨之围城), which had its world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and became a hit in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Heng has also been involved in films such as JUANG and Miimaland.
Honours
In 2020, Heng was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran title by the Governor of Malacca.[8]
