Joseph Shepherd (born March 20, 1991) is an American TV personality, podcast host, and producer. He is the host of the LGBT interview series Exposed [1] and the podcast Dragged Out [2] from The Dipp. He produces the Moguls of Media podcasts Hi Jinkx! w/ Jinkx Monsoon, The Chop w/ Latrice Royale and Manila Luzon, and Famous This Week w/ Priyanka (drag queen)[3].

Early Life

He is a graduate of Georgia State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunications. Shepherd started and hosted Georgia State University's first school news magazine shows, @GSU_News[4] and The Panther Report.[5] He later moved to New York where he interned at Rachael Ray (talk show) and later worked at The View (talk show).

Personal Life

In April of 2021, Shepherd opened up about being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 30 stating, "After 30 years, I finally found my missing puzzle piece: Autism Spectrum Disorder. ASD happens to about 1 in 270 in the world and I am proud to say I am that “1”."[6]

Career

Shepherd moved to Los Angeles in 2015 producing shows like FABLife, E!'s Famously Single, and The Doctors (talk show). In late 2018, Shepherd along with 23 other past and former co-workers of Live Nation reported verbal and physical abuse from former Live Nation Productions head Heather Parry. [7] Shepherd was one of two employees who went on the record. He stated that "working for Parry forced him to seek therapy and medical treatment for anxiety and other ailments." [8]This article led to an investigation which resulted in the firing of Live Nation Productions head Heather Parry in February of 2019. [9] [10]

In 2019, he started his successful YouTube interview series Exposed where he interviews drag queens from Rupaul's Drag Race. In the April 2022 edition of Out Front Magazine, Shepherd states, "Exposed really began when I cast Willam Belli on a show...We were chatting, and I was like, 'I want to interview you Barbara Walters-style and see what happens.' He agreed, and it literally started from there." [11]

On March 25, 2022, Shepherd released his first single and Scream (1996 film) themed [12]music video for "Don't Call Me" starring RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs the World queen Jimbo (drag queen).[13][14]
