Joseph Michael Daniels is a British entrepreneur and sustainable technology innovator. He is the founder of Etopia Group and Elixr.Earth, UK-based sustainable technology companies. Joseph's work in sustainable building and energy efficiency has garnered global recognition and numerous awards.
Early life and career
Joseph Michael Daniels had a difficult upbringing. At the age of 15, he became homeless after his mother was hospitalized and his father, who was an abusive alcoholic, left home. Joseph spent several years on and off the streets, struggling to survive.
During this time, he developed an idea to address the global sustainability issues surrounding buildings. He invested his time and energy into learning about sustainable building practices, using digital tools such as Udemy and Future Learn to gain knowledge and skills. In 2015, he founded Etopia Group and built his first net-zero school, which was recognized by the RIBA journal.

In 2022, Joseph Michael Daniels resigned from Etopia after deploying net-zero buildings on four continents. He co-founded a state-of-the-art venture builder using his key technology, understanding, and sustainable methodologies.
The new venture, named ELIXR is designed to invent and invest in technology to build Planet.Earth a next generation digital twinned iteration of humanity, bringing together a number of digital twin sustainable, smart, and integrated technologies to better humanity and drive forward innovation.
