Joseph Fink is both an author and creator of multiple mystery, paranormal, science fiction works. He is best known as the creator of the podcasts "Welcome to Night Vale" and "Alice Isn't Dead." In addition to his podcasting ventures, Fink has made contributions as a writer. He, along with Jeffrey Cranor, co-authored the New York Times bestselling novels "Welcome to Night Vale," "It Devours!," and "The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home." Fink's literary repertoire extends further with his solo work "Alice Isn’t Dead" and the middle-grade novel "The Halloween Moon."[1][2][3][4]
Early life
Joseph Fink was born in California and now lives in the Hudson Valley in New York. He moved to New York City in the 2000s, where he volunteered at the Neo-Futurists theater in Manhattan and subsequently met his wife and collaborator, Meg Bashwiner. It was here that he also met future co-author, Jeffrey Cranor.[5][6]
Personal life
Joseph Fink is married to Meg Bashwiner, an American writer, performer, tour manager, podcaster, and producer. Bashwiner has been involved in various creative endeavors, including her membership in the New York theater company The New York Neo-Futurists. The couple has a daughter.[7]
