Jori is a small village of 147 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jori depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 109.39% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Jori is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jori's pin code is 322218[4], and village code is 01251700. The area of Jori is segregated as 109.39 hectares irrigated area, 7.92 hectares unirrigated, the 10.67 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 18.96 hectare area not available for cultivation.
