Jordan B. Cooper is an American author and theologian in the Lutheran tradition, President of the American Lutheran Theological Seminary, and pastor in the American Association of Lutheran Churches.[1][2] Cooper rose to prominence after founding the Just and Sinner Podcast in 2012, and has authored a number of popular and academic books on Lutheran theology. His research has focussed on justification, the Church Fathers and sacramental theology.

As an orthodox Lutheran, Cooper has been a defender of sacramental theology, including the doctrines of baptismal regeneration[3][4] and the real presence of the body and blood of Jesus Christ in Holy Communion,[5] and the practice of infant baptism.[6] He has been a critic of some individuals in the U.S. Reformed evangelical community, including Southern Baptist preacher Paul Washer[7][8][9] and megachurch pastor John F. MacArthur.[10][11]
