Jonny Martin is a musician, songwriter, composer, musical director from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In Music he worked with ITV1’s The Voice finalists including Winner Matt Henry (singer) OBE (Olivier Award recipient) and finalists Leah McFall, J Marie Cooper, Liam Tamne, while touring as support for Cyndi Lauper. He performed as Musical Director to urban acts Desta French and Hope Tala, He went on to play on Matt’s debut album Red Flare before then MD’ing his band on his first UK Tour. Jonny is also producing two EP’s for new Male artists Tom Law and James Hanratty.[1] Jonny released a meditation album Blissful Breathing with BBC London’s meditation guru Clare Connolly featuring his original compositions for streaming platforms. [2]

In Film had a song feature in the BAFTA Award Winning Short Film HOME which featured Coldplay and Noah & The Whale on the same soundtrack, and has provided scoring for 2021 Sundance Festival feature We’re All Going To The World’s Fair, an American coming of age horror film which had its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and screened at Cannes Film Festival. He also scored New York indie short film Junk, co-scoring and writing/producing end credit song for Kati Skelton’s short Pots N Tots, short Norwegian dance film ADHD, scored British indie short Kids.

In Theatre his credits Santa Claus The Musical, Jack Frost’s Frozen Christmas across the UK, creating Christmas productions for Worthing and Basildon over many years, Molly Wobbly at the Leicester Square Theatre, The 39 Steps & The Colleen Bawn (Lyric Belfast), Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4 (MAC Belfast, National Tour) with international work including Grease [3] & Flashdance (Oslo & DNB Arena in Stavanger, Norway) - including orchestrations, Den Hvite Dame (Halden, Norway) and was Composer for Kaos I Aldriland (Neuf Theatre, Norway). Jonny is writing two completely new musicals, developing and recording them for release in 2022/3.[4]

His commercial credits include featuring all original compositions for ESPN, Bank of Ireland, Radox, Century 21, Ford, Dove, P&G, Viriginia.org & Optimum among others.[5] He gained a Classical Music degree from Queens University, Belfast (BMus).[6]
