Jon Torres (born 21, April 1991) is a Mexican American entrepreneur, digital marketer, keynote speaker and SEO specialist. He has extensive experience as a digital marketer and has established himself as a leading figure in affiliate marketing.[1] Torres specializes in search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing (SMM), lead generation, mobile marketing, website building and development, and advertising.[2]
Torres is a sought-after consultant who assists both companies and individuals in developing an efficient online advertising plan and teaches them how to build their businesses using their growing digital footprint.[3][4]
Early life and education
Torres was born on 21 April 1991 in Tijuana, Baja California Mexico. At 10 years old he immigrated to Sonoma County for the duration of his upbringing. Torres later graduated from CSU, Chico earning a bachelor's degree in business administration with a specialty in Web-based entrepreneurship. This program laid the foundation for Torres to further build his skills in branding and graphic design, as well as digital marketing. To support himself through college, Torres took up several odd jobs such as waiter, repairing phones, and matching roommates.
Career
Torres, became a private SEO consultant after graduating from college and founded jontorres.com, which was the start of his journey to becoming a self-made businessman.[5] The goal of developing this platform was to let both new and established businesses produce passive income through affiliate marketing.[6][7] Besides his site Torres has been at the forefront of affiliate marketing endeavors as the founder of UP Venture Media.[8]
