Jon Pebi Tato (born November 20, 1990) is an aspiring Indian author and public relations professional known for his contributions to children's fiction and his work in the field of public relations.
Early life and education
Tato was born in Kaying, Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. He hails from the Yaki Tato Keak village of Kamba Circle, West Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh.
Tato pursued his academic interests and obtained a B.A. Honours in Geography from Dyal Singh College (DU), Lodhi Road, New Delhi followed by an M.A. in History and B.Ed.
Career
Tato worked as a chief Editor of WSquare News media in Itanagar and after that, he joined as an Editor in The Space media house and was promoted to the post of Managing Editor by the CEO of the company. Currently, Tato is a Public Relations professional under the Hon'ble Minister for Environment and Forest, Sports and Youth Affairs, and WRD GoAP Shri Mama Natung.
Achievements
Tato gained recognition as the first YouTuber from his village and the 27th Liromoba Constituency of West Siang District and he is also the first writer from his small village.
In addition to his work in public relations, Tato is an accomplished author. He self-published two children's fiction books: "Shaman Woman and the Rooster" in 2021, and "Shaman and the Secret Spirits of the Past" in 2023.
Publications
"Shaman Woman and the Rooster" (2021). The book is work of a folk fiction where the author highlights an event where a few villagers from Damyo embark on a journey to see how powerful a shaman could be from their own eyes and in the process they undergo uncertain circumstances and challenges.
"Shaman and the Secret Spirits of the Past" (2023). This is a sequel to the previous book where the shaman who supposedly had died and was resurrected to life faces challenges from another evil shaman at Damyo village and in the midst of the event he comes across the secret spirits of the past who shall help him win over the evil shaman.
