Jon Harle is a British former broadcaster, journalist and news reader who is best known for presenting various radio programmes for BBC Radio Newcastle, BBC Radio Cleveland and BBC Radio Cumbria.[1]

Life and career

Harle was born in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. In 2002, Harle presented the late night phone-in 'The Northern Nights' on BBC Radio Newcastle, BBC Radio Cleveland and BBC Radio Cumbria.[2]

Harle regularly presented the weekly Sunday religious programme on BBC Radio Newcastle.[3]

Harle presented the drive-time news programme solo Monday to Thursdays on afternoons, before Anne Leuchars joined him as a co-host. The pair presented the show until 2016 on BBC Radio Newcastle.[4][5]
