Mx Johnny Candor (born 14 nov 1993 in Constanta, Romania as Ioan Cernat), (formerly John Shaw) is an international artist, writer and stand up comedian, currently based in the UK. Originally from Romania, he grew up pretty much a theater kid, studied Biblioteconomy, Pedagogy and Socio-Humanistic Studies, as well as Drama and Guitar, and finished the National Pedagogical College Andrei Saguna in Sibiu. Throughout his teenage years
In 2016 John has left Romania to serve a two year humanitarian mission with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the England Manchester Mission area. After completing his mission, John settled in Accrington, where he continues to live to the present day. John is part of the LGBT Community, as well as the Manchester Ballroom Community.
Projects
John is the owner of a social project called "Ask?". This is a free open-source Library for seekers from all walks of life, belief systems and spiritual perspectives. The wesite comprises a social platform, an interactive library of universal knowledge, as well as classes and courses that are available from time to time.[1]
Art
John Shaw is a photographer, painter and all-round artist. From his passion for cooking to his stand up career, John has developed an eclectic taste for art and a wide range of experience.
Stand up comedy
John first performed Stand up comedy at the UltraComedy Charity Event in Manchester in April 2024.
Painting
John is an experimental painter, a lot of his work finding inspiration in photography and portrait studies.
Photography
During his years in Accrington John Attended Blackburn College where he Studied Photography. He worked on various projects, both private and collaborations with other artists. Some of his work is published on his Social Media Pages.
Spiritual Views
John is a Rosicrucian and a Free Mason.
