John S. Wallace Jr. was an American vignette engraver known for his work creating steel plate engravings for the American Banknote Company and later the Bureau of Printing and Engraving|U.S. Bureau of Printing and Engraving.[1]
Notable work includes the Federal Duck Stamp series completed for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service [2] as well as the official presidential portrait engravings for both Presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter.[citation needed]
