John Mortensen is an American Pianist. He is best known for Musical improvising in classical music recitals and promoting classical improvisation.[1]
Education
Mortensen received a B.M.A in Piano Performance from the of University of Michigan School of Music, his M.M. in Piano Performance, and his D.M.A. in Piano Performance and Literature at the University of Maryland. He is a Steinway artist and currently is a professor of music at Cedarville University. In 2016, he was named Faculty Scholar of the Year.[2]
