Joanna Wietrzyk is an Australian Hyrox Elite 15 athlete and Australias fastest female. She is also ranked #2 worldwide in this sport while starting the sport in only June 2024.[1]
Now ranked as one of the fastest females in HYROX history and the top Australian competitor, Joanna has firmly established herself as one of the sport’s most elite athletes. She’s earned a coveted spot among the top 15 HYROX athletes worldwide, setting the stage for even greater achievements. This impressive feat has secured Joanna an invitation to the prestigious 2024/25 Invitational Majors in Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, and Glasgow.[2]
Career
Joanna competed first time in Melbourne Season 24/25 in summer of 2024 and was there placed first in age group 16-24 in the category "Women". She then went on to compete in the "Pro" Category in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, where she also won first place and secured her spot for the "Elite 15" in Hyrox.[3]
She is one of the few athletes to compete in all four Majors[4] (Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Glasgow) of the season and there secured her spot for the world championships in Chicago.[5]
Personal Life
In addition to her HYROX success, Joanna has a background in tennis and netball, where she grew up competing fiercely with her older brother in every sport, always aiming to win. She’s currently studying for a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University, majoring in Marketing, and has a daily non-negotiable habit of having overnight oats every morning for breakfast.[2]
