Joanna Kathryn Swash (born 9 October 1972) is a British business leader,[1] keynote speaker, and political adviser. In 2005, she joined Wrexham-based Moneypenny as the first salesperson, becoming the CEO in 2018 and overseeing the company's growth to employ more than 1,000 people across the UK and USA. She also played a key role in the company's entry into the US market, receiving private equity investment by ECI Partners in 2018, and finalising the acquisition of VoiceNation and Ninja Number in the US during lockdown,[2] opening a US headquarters in Duluth, Georgia in 2021. In 2022, Denver based Alphapage was added to the Group.[3][4]

She is a member of the Prime Minister's Business Council[5] - advising the government on building skills resilience for the benefit of both education and business, and is a regular speaker at both Confederation of British Industry and Institute of Directors.

Swash is a regular contributor to the management press as a thought leader, regularly writing in both the UK and US national press, Forbes[6][7] and other leading titles Association of MBAs and appearing on BBC[8] Breakfast news channels as well as Times Radio and BBC Radio 5 BBC Radio 5 Live|Live Wake Up to Money. She has been interviewed for The Times,[9] Financial Times|FT Headspring[10] and Market Research Society[11] and is a nationwide judge for the Ernst & Young|EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2022.

She is particularly outspoken about the power of people and culture in business,[12] an ethic that has seen the business listed in the Sunday Times Best Companies</ref> to Work For for over 12 years.[13] The UK and Atlanta offices have also been acredited Great Place to Work.[14][15]

Under Swash's leadership, Moneypenny played a key role in the Wrexham UK City of Culture 2025[16] bid,[17] narrowly missing out to Bradford. She is interim-chair of the committee planning to apply for the 2029 title.
