Joanna Hernandez, born March 8 1983, is an American reality television star and actress from Sacramento, California. She is best known for her appearances on the first season of Oxygen network's hit reality series Bad Girls Club and VH1's hit celebreality series For The Love of Ray J season 1 where she went by the nickname Cocktail.[1][2][3]
Television career
Hernandez starred in Oxygen network's Bad Girls Club season 1 first appearing in the sixteenth episode replacing Tyla "Ty" Colliers. She went by the nickname JoJo.[4][5][6] In 2007 she appeared in two episodes of Bad Girls Club spin-off Bad Girls Road Trip.[7] In 2022 she appeared on Bad Girls Club season 10 Atlanta star Raquel Santiago's podcast Baddy Lyfe talking about her time on Bad Girls Club.[8]
In 2009 Hernandez starred in hit VH1 celebreality show, For The Love of Ray J season 1, where she went by the nickname Cocktail.[1][2][3] Hernandez won the show and went on to date Ray J outside the show, accompanying him on his 2009 tour.[9][10] She made an appearance during the For The Love of Ray J season 2 reunion special to confront Ray J for ending their relationship.[11][12]
In 2009 Hernandez filmed the infamous, unaired, VH1 hit celebreality spin-off series, I Love Money season 3. Hernandez was confirmed to be the runner-up on the show.[13][14] The season was unaired due to winning contestant Ryan Jenkins, murdering his wife Jasmine Fiore before the show aired.[15][16] As of 2025 no official clips or promotional material have been released by VH1 or 51 Minds.
Hernandez made several appearances in films including playing Paris in the 2007 independent film Consignment,[17][18] she also played a dancer in 2008 independent film In with Thieves. She starred in the 2008 independent horror comedy film Hot Blood Sundae playing Scoopette, Jesse.[19][20]
In 2020 Hernandez appeared on Rock of Love season 1 contestant Lacey Scull's podcast Talk of Love to discuss her time on Bad Girls Club, For The Love of Ray J and I Love Money.[13] In 2021 she appeared on Scull's All Star Reunion special for Scull's streaming service, StormTV.[21][22] In 2022 she co-hosted two episodes of StormTV's exclusive series From Vegas with Love.[23]
Personal life
Hernandez and Ray J dated briefly after For The Love of Ray J season 1,[10][24][25] in an interview with In Touch Weekly she claimed Ray J only did the show for exposure and money.[26][27][28][29] Hernandez briefly dated Chris Brown shortly after her breakup with Ray J.[30][31] Hernandez is friends with Angelina Pivarnick from the reality series Jersey Shore.[32]
Hernandez currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is married and has a child.[33]
