João Reis Moreira is a Portuguese dancer, known for his work with singer Conan Osíris. Born on May 9, 1995 in Lisbon, Portugal, Moreira started dancing at a young age and gained recognition after performing at the Eurovision Song Contest.[1]

Style & Dancing Career

João Reis Moreira studied at Escola Secundária Artística António Arroio, in Lisbon, and took several training courses in theater and performance, where he explored the physical component a lot. Before start working with Conan Osiris, Moreira never danced in public before, developing most of his technique in a self-taught way dancing solo in his room.[2][3][4]

João grew up listening to Conan's music and using them to perfect his dancing skills.[5] The two began working together on Osiris' live performances, with Moreira serving as the primary dancer and choreographer. He has since become a key part of Osiris' performances, helping to bring the music to life in a visually stunning way.

Moreira's style of dance is characterized by his fluid movements, effortless grace, and expressive storytelling, seamlessly blending techniques, creating a style that is entirely his own. His dynamic movements and intricate footwork perfectly complement Osiris' genre-bending sound, creating a truly immersive experience for audiences.

His performances with Osiris have garnered millions of views online, and he has become a sought-after collaborator for other musicians and artists.

Beyond his work with Osiris, Moreira is also an accomplished solo performer and choreographer. He has created works for several dance companies and has been invited to perform at festivals and events around the world, having collaborated in several projects and shows by national and international artists and companies, such as Ana Borralho & João Galante, João Garcia Miguel, Renée Copraij, among others, while at the same time continuing to develop his personal projects in the performing, plastic and visual arts.

He also has many other smaller partnerships with artists such as Blaya, Filipe Sambado, Ana Moura or Madonna.[6][7][8]

Acting Career

In Cinema, he participated in five short films and starred in two others, highlighting "Errar a Noite" by Flávio Gonçalves, premiered at IndieLisboa in 2020, and "Fogo-Fátuo" by João Pedro Rodrigues|João Pedro Rodrigues, premiered at Cannes Festival in 2022.[9][10][11]
