Joseph Ian Diel (born September 7, 1994) is a Filipino rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born & raised in the southside of Cebu City, Philippines, Jid gained recognition through his Real Life Documentary Film "Dagkot" in 2023.
Jid started making music at his late grandfather's office in 2011 and released his first major project "Lady" in 2015. He gained notable collaborations with Filipino icons James Reid, JRoa of Ex Battalion, Ron Henley, & Karencitta. Although Jid was recognized late in the industry, Jid is making an impact with his comeback single "Padayon" which starts with a true-to-life video of his mental episode. Today, Jid is set to release his first studio album sometime in late 2023 or early 2024.
