Jhor is a small village of 892 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhor depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 81.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhor is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jhor's pin code is 313327[4], and village code is 02994600. The area of Jhor is segregated as 81 hectares irrigated area, 106 hectares unirrigated, the 244 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 460.78 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell ghee and make their living.
