Jhoond South is a small village of 1112 hectares in Baytoo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhoond South depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhoond South is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Jhoond South's pin code is 344034[4], and village code is 02124000. The area of Jhoond South is segregated as 1103 hectares unirrigated, remaining 9 hectare area not available for cultivation.
