Jhera is a small village of 391 hectares in Dausa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhera depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 21.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jhera's pin code is 303303[4], and village code is 01394400. The area of Jhera is segregated as 81 hectares irrigated area, 179 hectares unirrigated, the 37 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 94 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
