Jharkaniya is a small village of 448 hectares in Ghatol Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jharkaniya depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Jharkaniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jharkaniya's pin code is 327023[4], and village code is 03390100. The area of Jharkaniya is segregated as 104 hectares irrigated area, 115 hectares unirrigated, the 41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 101 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jharkaniya is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1518 and has total administration over 326 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
