Jhankol is a small village of 466 hectares in Dungarpur Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhankol depends on Dungarpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 1.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhankol is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jhankol's pin code is 314001[4], and village code is 03300300. The area of Jhankol is segregated as 35 hectares irrigated area, 47 hectares unirrigated, the 143 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 241 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dungarpur to sell ghee and make their living.
