Jhankali is a small village of 4716 hectares in Sheo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhankali depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhankali is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Jhankali's pin code is 344701[4], and village code is 02086800. The area of Jhankali is segregated as 3920 hectares unirrigated, the 191.94 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 604.46 hectare area not available for cultivation.
