Jhalamand is a small village of 2563 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhalamand depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 98.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhalamand is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jhalamand's pin code is 342013[4], and village code is 01965300. The area of Jhalamand is segregated as 98 hectares irrigated area, 2240.97 hectares unirrigated, the 79 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 145 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
