Jhalaji Ka Baran is a small village of 2440 hectares in Keshoraipatan Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhalaji Ka Baran depends on KAPRAIN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Jhalaji Ka Baran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jhalaji Ka Baran's pin code is 323803[3], and village code is 02745900. The area of Jhalaji Ka Baran is segregated as 1481 hectares irrigated area, 258 hectares unirrigated, the 317 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 384.3 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KAPRAIN and Bundi to sell ghee and make their living.
