Jhakolar is a small village of 697 hectares in Dudu (Hq. Mauzamabad) Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhakolar depends on Sambhar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhakolar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jhakolar's pin code is 303904[4], and village code is 01511500. The area of Jhakolar is segregated as 61.8 hectares irrigated area, 321.8 hectares unirrigated, the 156.71 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 156.73 hectare area not available for cultivation.
