Jhak is a small village of 2459 hectares in Baytoo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhak depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhak is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Jhak's pin code is 344035[4], and village code is 02106600. The area of Jhak is segregated as 9.71 hectares irrigated area, 1992.82 hectares unirrigated, the 382.18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 74.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jhak has One post office (Jhak B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Jhak has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Jhak is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1972 and has total administration over 368 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell woolan blanket and make their living.
