Jetaran is a small village of 851 hectares in Kumbhalgarh Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jetaran depends on UDAIPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jetaran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jetaran's pin code is 313325[4], and village code is 03009500. The area of Jetaran is segregated as 15 hectares irrigated area, 79.01 hectares unirrigated, the 82 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 461 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of UDAIPUR and Rajsamand to sell juggary and make their living.
