Jessica Murdoch (born 23 February 1996) is an English actor and director. She has performed in numerous stage productions in the UK and globally.[1]

Early life and education

Murdoch attended Altrincham Grammar School for Girls in Greater Manchester, where she began studying drama.[2] Alongside her studies, she trained in acting as part of the Royal Exchange Theatre Young Company and the National Youth Theatre.[3]

She took a gap year, during which she worked as a supporting artist on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and volunteered with ICS and Balloon Ventures in Nakuru, Kenya. She went on to gain a First-Class Honours degree in English from the University of Cambridge (Pembroke College).

During her time at Cambridge, she worked on over 40 productions, acting in Time of My Life which toured across venues in Asia, Much Ado About Nothing at the Cambridge Arts Theatre, and directing the 2019 Cambridge American Stage Tour of The Comedy of Errors.[4][5][6][7][8][9] Murdoch was also on the board of several committees, including the Pembroke Players, the Marlowe Society, and the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatics Club.[10]

Murdoch is currently studying MFA Acting at The Juilliard School in New York
