Jerry Tse (romanized as Sheung Lai Tse), also known as Jerry S. L. Tse,[2] is a Hong Kong lawyer and businessman who is the current president of Eddid Financial,[3] as well as a former banker at DBS Bank|DBS.[4] He was previously the chairman of the investment banking arm of Everbright Securities in Hong Kong,[5] where he managed its investment banking and principal investment operations.[6][7] Prior to this, he was the CEO of the investment banking unit at DBS Group.[8] At present, he is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators[9] and the Law Society of Hong Kong.[10]
Tse also authored several English publications related to the law. In the book Yearbook Law & Legal Practice in East Asia published by Brill, he conducted a comparative study of the statutory regimes of company law in the Mainland China and Hong Kong.[11]
Career
Early in his career, Tse taught at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of London.[12] A few years later, he served as an executive at Macquarie Group.[13] Prior to that, he worked for Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.[14]
In November 2013, Tse was employed as the CEO of DBS Asia Capital,[15] following his resignation from Macquarie,[16] and he held the position until September 2016.[17][18]
In October 2016, Tse was hired by Everbright as a senior executive to lead its investment business.[19] In 2018, he was appointed as SSIF's CEO.[20] He joined Eddid Financial as its president in 2022.[1]
