Jerla is a small village of 1675 hectares in Pachpadra Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jerla depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jerla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Jerla's pin code is 344022[4], and village code is 02140800. The area of Jerla is segregated as 1294 hectares unirrigated, the 189 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 191.7 hectare area not available for cultivation.
