Early life

Szafron was born on April 13, 1988 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.

Career

Szafron is the creator of The Green Scene Podcast and current CEO and founder of Investor Scene.

CTV/Bell Media

After graduating from college in 2005, Szafron joined CTV as an on-air Entertainment Reporter based in Montreal. He reported on and interviewed celebrities such as Justin Bieber, the Kardashians,Madonna, and Cory Monteith [1] , as well as political figures such as Al Gore and Justin Trudeau. In 2007, Szafron became an on-air Business Reporter and Analyst for Bell Media, where he made regular appearances on BBN Bloomberg as well as on multiple Canadian television and radio stations.

The Green Scene Podcast

In 2017, Szafron founded The Green Scene Podcast [3], a global cannabis business podcast [4]. The podcast’s success was widely attributed to the legalization of cannabis in Canada [5]. The podcast ran until 2020.

Investor Scene

In 2020, The Green Scene Podcast evolved into Investor Scene [6], an investor-focused media company that reports on exclusive deal-flow of and insights into small-cap Canadian companies on the Canadian Securities Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Reception
