Gilberto-Rubén Jerú Sánchez[1][2] (born 1 November 2010) is a Dominican-American child actor. Born in South Miami to Dominican parents, he has been in a number of short and feature films and musical theatre performances.

At a very young age, he developed interest in music and artistic performances. At age 3, he took pianolessons and at a later age moved on to guitar, but he found his passion in acting and didn't continue music studies. He started acting for films at the age of 8. At 14, he has been in a total of 4 feature films, 2 short films, 8 musical theatre performances, 1 chorus performance and multiple printed and audiovisual ads in the Dominican Republic. He speaks both Spanish and English fluently. In 2021, the movie Hotel Coppelia directed by José María Cabral in which he played the adopted son of Judith (played by Lumy Lizardo), José María, won the Soberano Award in 2021 for Best Drama in the Film category. Jerú lives in Santo Domingo with his mother, his little sister and his two Maltese puppies, Cariñosa and Paris. He is an advanced student at Theamus Musical Theater Academy of Santo Domingo, and has taken multiple study programs and courses in acting for film and theatre in recognized academies in the United States
